A sedan collided with an SUV, which overturned on the overpass above 25th Street at the Wilson and Palmer Township boroughs around 9 a.m., according to LehighValleyLive.
One driver had to be extricated from the vehicle, and both were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries, the outlet stated citing police officer and fire chief Jim Alercia.
Route 22 eastbound was shut down for about an hour and a half between 25th and 13th Streets as the investigation continued, the Palmer Municipal Fire Department said.
The Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company also responded to the crash.
